CARD: Labels to Love Thanksgiving

This card is a nice twist on several products. The stamped greeting is from the Labels to Love stamp set, but it’s punched out with the Everyday Lable punch. If you can tell, the punched out greeting is actually smaller than the actual punch size. It’s a cool technique. Also, the paper circles are actually from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper as well as Gold Foil sheets and the center of the Metallic Snowflakes from the Holiday Catalog. I like this project because it’s a great example of how you can use your Stampin’ Up! products in many different ways. It’s easy sometimes to think of only using a punch, stamp set or embellishment in one way, but with a little creativity (and Pinterest)  you can get a lot of use out of your supplies. Who doesn’t like that?

CARD: Painted Harvest Thanksgiving

Hands down, one of the most popular stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog is this one, Painted Harvest. It’s so unbelievably versatile, you can use it for any occasion so you get a  lot of use out of this set. The flowers are a two-step stamping process and you are only limited by your imagination as far as color combinations go. I created another card (click here to see it) featuring the Painted Harvest set with a totally different color scheme and look. Same set, two different projects!

CARD: Sheltering Tree

This card really feels like Fall to me. It features the Sheltering Tree stamp set from the Holiday Catalog and the Paisleys & Posies set from the Annual Catalog. The Sheltering Tree set has 14 images so you can decorate your tree with a swing, a bike, rake leaves, etc. It has thoughtful sayings and the leaves on the tree create endless color possibilities! For this card, it was fall with Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Rose Red ink to color the leaves.

Anything But the Holidays Blog Hop

Holiday Catalog Detailed Gate Thinlet Die Friendship Card

Welcome to the Anything but the Holidays blog hop! If you have been following along, you have arrived from Candice Fields’ blog. Wasn’t her project simply wonderful? It’s always tough to follow after a super talented person has blown everyone away with their gifts, so I am hoping my project is up to par! For my project, I wanted to do a friendship card with the Detailed Gate Thinlet die set in the Holiday Catalog

For this project, I used Silver Foil paper for the Detailed Gate Thinlet Dies in the Holiday Catalog and stamped the floral images and the sentiment from the Lovely Friends stamp set in the Annual Catalog. The flowers are stamped in Powder Pink, Blushing Bride and Soft Sky and Marina Mist.  I cut the flowers from the Lovely Laurel Thinlet Dies, which is available with the Lovely Friends stamp set in a bundle for 10% off. The card base is from Powder Pink, one of the newest In Colors, followed by Marina Mist and Whisper White cardstock.  The leaves are from the new Leaf Punch in the Holiday Catalog. I embellished with Basic Pearls and Powder Pink 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon. I decided to tie the card closed with the ribbon.  I wanted something feminine and sparkly for my friendship card, and I hope you like it! Here is the inside of the card:

The Holiday Catalog was release last Friday, September 1 and you can download and view it by clicking here or my emailing me to request a copy be mailed to you. I would love to be your Demonstrator and answer any questions you may have about the products or help you host a Stampin’ Up party to explore all the wonderful new products in the Holiday Catalog.

The next step on the blog hop is Teri Wells . Sneak Peek: NEW Holiday Catalog Snowflake Sentiment Card

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek of Snowflake Sentiment Bundle Available Starting Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the launch of the new Holiday Catalog and to celebrate, all this week I’ve been offering sneak peeks and some of the products and projects you can make from items in the new catalog. Today wraps up the series with this Christmas card that uses the Snowflake Sentiment bundle with gorgeous snowflake stamps from the Snowflake Sentiment stamp set and matching Swirling Snowflake Thinlit Dies that are so intricate and gorgeous! I also used the new Foil Snowflakes and Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper. To make this project, I started with a card base of Whisper White Thick Cardstock for the card base and I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment in Versa Mark on a scrap of Whisper White. Next is a layer of the Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper and then I ran Gold Foil paper through the Big Shot with the Snowflake SEntiment Thinlit Dies twice to make the gold foil “borders.” I decided to place a layer of Vellum to tone down the images a bit so that the Foil Snowflake and sentiment would really stand out. I heat embossed the sentiment in Gold Stampin’ Embossing Powder and cut it out with an oval die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and assembled.

Sneak Peek: Halloween Card Featuring NEW Spooky Cat & Labels to Love

This week we are highlighting new items in the Holiday Catalog that goes live THIS Friday. So excited!!! This card features two different stamp sets and some new patterned paper! The tree image is actually from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper and then I stamped the Owl from the Spooky Cat Photopolymer Stamp Set in Basic Black ink. It matched the tree image on the patterned paper perfectly and then I highlighted the Owl eyes and the Happy Owl-oween sentiment in Whisper White ink over the Basic Black. The Spooky Cat stamp set is part of a bundle and includes an adorable cat punch which I really wanted to include with this card, but it didn’t seem to work. The Owl hat is cut from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper as well.

The black and white layer behind the Owl is actually Basic Black cardstock and I used the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and Embossing Paste to create some texture. While the Embossing Paste was drying (which only took two minutes, max), I stamped the striped background in Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie paper and stamped the sentiment from another new stamp set, Labels to Love, in Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie as well. I punched out the sentiment with the Everyday Label Punch. So handy to have and with the new stamp set called Labels to Love that works beautifully with the punch and features tags and sentiments for every holiday, it is definitely a must-have!

After that, it was a matter of putting the card together with a Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock base, a layer of Basic Black, then Pumpkin Pie and Embossed Basic Black and the stamped Owl layer. I used some Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine and the new Vintage Crochet Ribbon to embellish the stamped sentiment and the new Black Rhinestones to embellish the Owl’s hat. So fun to put together and making this card got me super excited for Halloween!

The new Holiday Catalog comes out this Friday and I will post it online here for you to download or view online. Also, if you would like a copy mailed to you, click here to request one or email me.  I guarantee you will be blown away by the new goodies in this catalog!

CARD: Orange Blossoms Friendship Card

Hey Friend! I love the sentiment on this card featuring the Orange Blossoms Photopolymer Stamp set from the Annual Catalog. This card is a great example of just how far a great stamp set can get you. For instance, this project doesn’t have any patterned paper beyond what is stamped, the sentiment is stamped, and the Pool Party background is embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added a Lace Doiley for some glamour and finished it off with some Whisper White Thick Bakers Twine and White Perfect Accents. This is a great stamp set for all occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, or my favorite, just because. Hey Friend indeed!

CARD: Jar of Love

The Jar of Love card is a continuation of a concept featured in the 2017 Occasions catalog and it was so popular that it appears in the Annual Catalog as well. It’s such a cute stamp set and can be used in soooo many ways! In this project, I used Vellum to simulate the inside of the “jar” and water, but I’ve seen it done with clear window sheets and a shaker card, or a regular mason jar, etc.  This card also features the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, another new favorite. This embossing folder is fantastic for adding texture and variety to a project and can be used for just about any theme or occaision.

Also in the Annual Catalog is Sharing Sweet Thoughts (below right) another stamp set that also works with the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies. (below left). Center is the Jar of Love stamp set.
