Happy Easter To You All!

I wish that I were the talented person who came up with such a beautiful card, but I am not. This stunning card arrived in a mail swap that I participated in and whoever made it did not put their name on their work. As we approach the Easter weekend, I kept saving this card because it was so beautiful, so precious and such an unexpected blessing from someone who will never really know the smiles and the joy that they gave to others. It just seemed fitting to post this card today (Good Friday) as we reflect on the meaning of Easter. However you celebrate, or even if you do not celebrate Easter, for whatever reason, please know that you are a blessing to us all, your talents, gifts, and actions bless people in so many ways that you may never fully understand. You have blessed my life and I thank you for sharing these precious bits of time together. To the talented person who created this project and shared it with me, I cannot thank you enough and I hope you realize how gifted you are. To all my Stampastical friends, may you all continue to share your blessings and to be blessed in return!

Now for the technical stuff. This is an Easel card, which means the front lifts up and slides back and then sits like an Easel! So clever! The view above shows the top sliding back halfway and resting next to the wooden heart above the Easter lilies in the Easter Message stamp set. If you slide the top all the way up, you get to see the sentiment inside, which is below:

So very clever. This stamp set is on the Retiring List, so after May 31, it’s gone forever. I’m sad to see it go because I love the sentiment and the beautiful simplicity of its message. To all my Stamptastical friends, “Wishing you all the beautiful blessings of Easter!”

Basket Bunch Easter Card – Exciting News Announced Later Today!

Here is another adorable Easter card made with the Basket Bunch bundle found in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. If you have ever been on Pinterest, be sure to look for this bundle and you will be amazed by all of the gorgeous projects that you can make with the Basket Bunch stamp set and Basket Builder die set that you can combine into a bundle and save 10% off the purchase price. I used the gingham paper from the Oh So Succulent Designer Series paper and played with my Soft Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers to color in the bunny and color in the words from a sentiment stamp so that I could just stamp For Somebunny Sweet. It’s a great technique to get more out of your stamps!

Here is the color palette for this card:

An Exciting Announcement

Today is a HUGE day in Stampin’ Up! world because we are wrapping up the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog and the 2017 Occasions Catalog. Both retire on May 31 and a new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog will available very soon as well as brand spankin’ new 2017-2019 In Colors. If you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, this is a very exciting time as we dream of what new colors and products will be available. To make room for new products, sadly we have to say goodbye to current products, which means that we will get a list of what products will no longer be available after May 31. As soon as I get that list, I will post it here, so check back later today or visit my Facebook page to get the list. Why this matters is that if you are considering ordering from the Occasions Catalog or the Annual Catalog, you will need to check the retirement list to see if that item will be available after May 31. If it is, great, you have a little more time to order or re-order, depending on what that item is. If your favorite item is on the retirement list, I would urge you to order quickly because often items on the retirement list are only available while supplies last and I would hate for you to be unable to get a certain item due to it selling out. I’ve been there and it’s no fun at all!   I will also be posting a link to the new catalog as soon as I am able so you can start your new shopping list of gorgeous products!

Sweet and Simple Basket Bunch Card

This is a card I made for a swap and for some reason, I really struggled to come up with the design. Ever have moments or projects like that? I must have come back to this project four or five times, trying this, discarding that, so frustrated because I wanted it to look a certain way and I couldn’t realize the vision I had. Then you have that moment, that beautiful and precious moment, the “Ah-Ha!” moment and you add something or rearrange something and all of the sudden your vision is reality and you are so thrilled. I love moments like those and they make all the frustration worth it (eventually). My point is that even though I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I still have projects and moments where I struggle. I wish I could say I know all there is to know about stamping and that my projects are flawless, but that would not be true. I can say that I am passionate about stamping and papercrafting, that I have loved my time with Stampin’ Up! and that I have been blessed to meet supportive, creative and fun people who enjoy the same creative outlet as I do. If you are looking for a way to be creative, no matter your skill or experience, I am here to help. I would love to be your Demonstrator and teach you and help you develop your crafting skills or cheer you on and support you as you go.  If you are looking for a career opportunity, a second job or simply a hobby, you can sign up to be a Demonstrator and work with some of the most creative and generous souls you will ever meet and I will support you every step of the way. I am here to help so please don’t hesitate to contact me.

So this project also uses the Basket Bunch bundle. This bundle will only be available for certain until May 31. It might be in the new Annual Catalog and it might not be, so if you are considering ordering it, please do so before May 31. On April 10, Stampin’ Up! will release their retiring list, which lists which products in the catalogs will not be carried over into the new catalog.

Tomorrow I will have some super exciting news to share! In the meantime, here is the color palette used for this project:

An Egg-Stra Special Basket Bunch Easter Card

Isn’t this card adorable! This was a swap card I received from Vikki Beck and thought it was so stinkin’ cute that I had to share. I love how she colored a tiny Basic Pearl embellishment for the bunny’s nose! She stamped the Basket Bunch images in Black Staz-on and then die cut them with the Basket Builders dies. You can order with the Basket Bunch stamps and the Basket Builder dies in a bundle and save 10% off the purchase price. There are a whopping 29 images you can use in the Basket Bunch stamp set and 22 in the Basket Builder die cut set, so you really get quite a bit of product and possibilities for your money AND save 10% off the purchase price. Click here to order this bundle.

We only have six more weeks until a new Annual Catalog, so if you haven’t had a chance to browse and select your favorites, now is the time. If you would like a copy of the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog, click here to email me or click here to browse it online. Some of the products will be in the 2017-2018 catalog, but many will not, so you have until May 31 to order and be sure. Stampin’ Up will release a retiring list and when I have that list, I will share with you so you can plan accordingly.

Finally, sign up here to attend our Easter Card class THIS Saturday at 11:30. We will be making cards and projects featuring the Basket Bunch bundle as well as the Easter Message stamp set, which I will feature tomorrow. It truly is gorgeous and embodies the meaning of the season.

Here Comes the Easter Bunny!

Easter Card Made with Basket Bunch Bundle

Easter is nearly here and this week I would like to share with you a  project you can create to celebrate this wonderful holiday. Stampin’ Up has a couple of sets in the current catalog that are perfect for Easter greetings. This card features the Basket Bunch bundle which includes the Basket Bunch stamp set and the Basket Builder dies that perfect cut the stamped Basket Bunch images. The other Easter set is called Easter Greetings and features a beautiful cross image and lilies. Anyhoo, the ‘carrot background” is actually stamped on vellum and laid over Very Vanilla cardstock. The “clothes” on the bunnies are from the So Succulent Designer Series Paper. The bunnies, the grass, and the flower are all from the Basket Builder bundle. Ribbon, Basic Pearls, and a lace doily embellish the project and now you have an Easter greeting!

You’re EGGstra Special!

Hellooooo Stamptastical Friends! How are we all settling into the time change? I don’t mind setting the clocks back in the fall because I gain an hour of sleep, but the spring is brutal! I go to bed an hour late and wake up an hour too early, or so my body says. Anyhoo, I wanted to share this card as it’s one we will be making at our Stamptastical March – Easter Greetings card class this Saturday. It uses the Basket Builder bundle (buy the Basket Bunch stamp set AND the Basket Builder dies together and save 10% off) as well as the Oh So Succulent Designer Series paper, all of which is in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. Now, I should warn you that IF you want to make this card, or you just love the sparkly Easter eggs as much as I do, you have to order now because supplies are going to be running out on the 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack and it won’t be available after March 31. That’s when Sale-A-Bration ends and you will no longer be able to choose free products with a qualifying order. You can find out more about Sale-A-Bration here

The color palette used for this card is as follows:

If you are interested in attending this Saturday’s class, you can sign up right on this blog when you click Classes and Events and select Register. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing some exciting Stampin’ Up! updates about Paper Pumpkin and a new technique, so I hope you will stop by. Wednesday I will have a project video for you as well.

You might have noticed that the basket is a little shimmery as well. I used Wink of Stella to give it a shimmer. Love that stuff!

Remarkable Blog Hop – Spring or Easter

Welcome to the Remarkable Blog Hop – Can’t Live Withouts!  If you have just come from Libby’s blog, wasn’t her project amazing??? Tough act to follow, to be sure! One of the Easter stamp sets in the 2017 Occasions catalog that I fell in love with was Easter Message and that is the stamp set I  used for this project, along with paper from the So In Love bundle. I stamped the greeting and the cross im age in Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I was trying to combine regency (gold, pearls) with simplicity (ribbon, clean design). The cross is actually on vellum paper, in case you can’t tell and the floral patter is the designer series paper showing through. Inside I stamped the sentiment that is in the same stamp set:

Next on the Remarkable Blog Hop is Naurelle Fasulo and be prepared for a treat because her work is stunning! In case you got lost or there is a glitch somewhere, here is a list of all the “stops” on this blog hop:
