SWAP: Balloon Adventures Pop Up Card

When the new Occasions Catalog came out, I decided to participate in swaps with other demonstrators so that I could get some great ideas and samples from across the world. Boy, did I EVER! Now, Demonstrator etiquette (as I understand it, and if I’m wrong, let me know and I will correct immediately) states that if I share a project from a  swap, I need to be honest about that and name who actually did the work and I like to link back to their blog or Stampin’ Up! site. So in keeping with that practice, I would like to share with you an amazing pop up card that I received from Jackie Walker in Florida. This is the front of the card at the beginning of the post.

And here is the inside that “pops”  up:

Isn’t that so clever? I love how she used two “birthday” suites together and they work together seamlessly. She used the Balloon Adventures stamp set, balloon punch, candle border punch and the Star Blast Edglits that “pop  up” when you open the card. Fantastic work Jackie! Here is a list of the products used in this card (as best I can tell):

Sending Love Fancy Fold Valentine

This is another amazing swap card I received recently from Kim Coulter that is what we call a “fancy fold” card. The top and the bottom of the front open up to show the sentiment inside. Isn’t that clever? The “heart” photo shows the inside of the card. I’m thinking of doing a fancy fold class this summer, so if you are interested, let me know! The products used to make this card are as follows:

Kim’s blog is Kimboskorner.com and she has some gorgeous projects on it so check it out!

Lift Me Up Valentine’s Day Card

This is another gorgeous swap card I received in the mail. This is created by Sandy Haynes who lives in Michigan. I tried to link to her Stampin’ Up page doing a name search and it didn’t show up, so I profusely apologize that I cannot link to your page on your business card attached to the swap, Sandy! This card uses the Lift Me Up bundle that has an adorable Valentine’s Day sentiment.

Sending Stamptastical Love!

This is another swap card I received and it too uses the Sending Love bundle in the 2017 Occasions catalog. If you are looking to make your Valentine’s Day cards, gifts and tags, you can’t go wrong with this bundle designed to work together perfectly. You can stamp Valentines images and then die cut them to perfection or just die cut or stamp alone and the possibilities are endless! This card also used the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack that you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration. If you would like to get free products, email me to find out how.  For now, the products used to make this simple yet elegant card are below and as always, have a Stamptastical Day!

Happy Heart Month!

It’s officially February, which means Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching as well as Groundhog Day today (I’m crossing my fingers there is no shadow!) February is also Heart Month according to the Center for Disease Control. Here is what they said: “The perfect gift this Valentine’s Day is the gift of heart health. Along with Valentine’s Day, February marks American Heart Month, a great time to commit to a healthy lifestyle and make small changes that can lead to a lifetime of heart health.” You can find tips and details on how to take care of your heart health at their page located here

In the spirit of hearts and Valentine’s Day, I share with you a card I received in a swap recently. I am searching for the name of the person who made it and will update this post with their name and a link to their blog if I can find it. In the meantime, whomever made it was very talented and I adore this project! It was made using the Suite Sentiments stamp set from the 2017 Occasions Catalog as well as the Sending Love Designer Series Paper and with a very clever folding technique. What I love about this card is that it uses stamps and embellishments that aren’t typically Valentine’s Day, which goes to show the variety of ways you can use Stampin’ Up! products. I tend to get locked into the mindset of “this is a so-and-so stamp so I can only use it for so-and-so occasions.” This year, I am challenging myself to find as many ways to use Stampin’ Up! products in as many ways possible. If you would like to learn how to do this folding technique, please email me and I’ll send you a tutorial! Below is a list of the products used to create this card and as always, have a Stamptastical day!

Window Shopping Bundle Card

You’ve heard me mention “Bundles” before but just in case, Bundles in Stampin’ Up! are great ways to get two products that work beautifully together at a discount of approximately 10%. Stampin’ Up! creates clever products designed to work together and enhance each other and when you order a Bundle, you can get them both and at a discount than if you had ordered them separately. For instance, this card is using the Window Shopping bundle in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. This bundle includes the Window Box Thinlits Dies that actually makes an adorable hexagonal box with self closing lid  that you can stamp  on using the Window Shopping stamp set or die cut using the Window Box Thinlits dies to embellish. Imagine sharing treats or small gifts in a beautiful box you made yourself. What is really clever is that the Window Shopping stamp set is designed to fit the sides of the boxes perfectly, so you can decorate your box, or you can stamp an sentiment to the top of the box that perfectly fits.  What’s more, you can even use the Window Box Thinlets to die cut a floral pattern on a card and use the sentiment from the Window Shopping stamp set, so the Window Shopping bundle isn’t JUST for boxes. Your only limit is your imagination. Here are few samples of the types of projects you can make with the Window Shopping Bundle:

As an added bonus, because it is Sale-A-Bration, when you order the Window Shopping Bundle, you will qualify for a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog! So not only will you have the supplies needed to create a card and a gift box, you get something free as well! If you are interested in seeing all the Bundles and gorgeous products in the Occasions Catalog, please feel free to email me. Below are the list of products used to create this simple card that can be used for birthdays, sympathy, get well or just a hello card. Have a Stamptastical day!

Valentine’s Day Card Class – Project #3

This is the third project we created in our Valentine’s Day Card Class. This project also uses the Sealed With Love Bundle which features the Sealed with Love stamp set and the Love Notes Framelits Dies. You can really see the variety of shapes you get with this die set, and trust me, they are even cuter in real life! The stamp set and the die cuts are created to work together so it makes creating gorgeous Valentine’s Day cards super easy! As an added bonus, when you purchase the bundle, you can qualify for a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Be sure to order ASAP as Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it! If you are interested in attending February’s class, please email me. At the bottom of this post is a list of supplies to create this project and if you click on “Supply List” you can download it for easier shopping.  In the meantime, have a Stamptastical Day!
