Welcome Baby Card

Who doesn’t love to welcome a precious new baby into the world? This card is perfect for a shower, birth announcement, first birthday, congratulation, etc. The stamp set used is called Moon Baby, and yes, it really is as cute in person as it is here. Check out these images!

Aren’t they just precious? For this project, I used Layering Circle dies to create a window on the card front. In keeping with the “twinkle, twinkle” theme of the card, I embossed the Soft Sky card front with the new Sparkles Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and then die cut circles through the Night of Navy and Soft Sky card layers. I stamped the stars and the sleeping baby image on Whisper White with Basic Black ink, then colored them in with Watercolor pencils and blended them with an Aqua painter. I cut out the baby and star images the old fashioned way, with a pair of scissors and hands! Talk about roughing it, I think I”m getting spoiled with my Big Shot and die sets for cutting shapes! This card also features the newest ribbon in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog, the 1/2″ Night of Navy Grosgrain ribbon. Isn’t is cute??? A detailed list of supplies is listed below and here is a photo of the inside of the card:

Climbing Orchid – Same Card, Two Different Ways

I recently participated in two different swaps and used the same Climbing Orchid bundle for both. This bundle features the Climbing Orchid Photopolymer stamp set. The Climbing Orchid Stamp Set gives a unique ability to build up orchids with as many different pieces as you see fit. This set is classy and timeless and is ideal for both cards and 3D projects. It includes 28 photopolymer stamps. Also in the bundle is the Orchid Builder Framelit Dies that consists of 12 dies. Create die-cut accents in seconds with Framelits dies and the Big Shot. Framelits’ open design allows you to place them where you want for precise cutting. Make multi-layered accents for cards or tags. You can order the Climbing Orchid stamp set and/or the Orchid Builder Framelit Dies, but when you order them bundled together, you save 10% off the purchase price, which is always a great idea! Here is a close up of the stamps and the dies:

I thought I’d share the cards so you can see how with the addition of an embellishment and switching colors you can create a variety of cards from with the same stamp set, especially this bundle. You can create three different orchids, depending on your preference! The first card features Sweet Sugarplum watercolor background, pearl accents and shows one version of the orchids you can make with the bundle. Also, in both cards, instead of stamping the branch image from the Climbing Orchid stamp set, I chose to die cut the branch from the Seasonal Layers Thinlit Dies instead. I used Chocolate Chip as my card base, Sweet Sugarplum as a layer and then I watercolored Sweet Sugarplum with an Aqua Painter on Whisper White for the card background. I stamped the orchid images in Rich Razzleberry with Early Expresso accents and sentiment on the card front. Supplies for this project are:

Supplies

The second project features a very similar layout, but with a differently patterned orchid (from the same bundle) and a different color palate. I used Island Indigo as the card base, a layer of Pool Party and I watercolored Pool Party on Whisper White for the card front. I stamped a different orchid image in Dapper Denim and again accented and stamped the sentiment in Early Expresso. I added Gold Metallic Thread and a basic jewel for some sparkle.  This is just one simple example of the variety you can get from a single stamp set even with very little change in the layout of your project. There’s also another orchid image in the stamp set that isn’t featured here, so if you love orchids, this is the stamp set for you! I hope you enjoyed viewing them as much as I enjoyed making them!

Video: At Home With You Bundle Card

You all KNOW how much I love the Stampin Up bundles and when the new catalog came out, I had to flip through (repeatedly and joyfully) to determine which bundles were on my must have list. The At Home With You Bundle was one of them with the versatility and usefulness of this bundle. The stamped image is a front door that you can decorate for any season, with signs, wreaths, lanterns, flowers, garlands, etc. Almost like building your own dream front door to your own dream house! OR at least that’s what it felt like when I was making this card. The thing I love the most is that there is a die in the framelits set that cuts and scores the door entryway, so your “door” opens on your card. How cute is that? Also, Stampin Up has added these little mini Boxwood Wreaths as embellishments in the new catalog, so how perfectly do they work with this stamp set??? Here is a video tutorial of how to make this project:

So to create this project, I started with Soft Suede cardstock for my card base and then I stamped the door in Chocolate Chip ink on the same cardstock. I stamped the lanterns and the flowers in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and I colored them in with Stampin Up Markers in Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Blushing Bride. I stamped the Hardwood background image in Soft Sky on Soft Sky cardstock. The welcome mat is in Night of Navy ink on Soft Sky cardstock.  The border above and below the door is from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper stack. After stamping, I die cut out the door, the lanterns, flowers and a welcome mat with my Big Shot and assembly including Linen Thread, Glue Dots and the Boxwood Wreath. I stamped the inside sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink inside the door. A complete product list with product numbers can be found below.

Stampin Up has created a video that highlights the At Home With You bundle as well as shares tips on how to use it. Check it out here:

RemARKably Created Blog Tour – New, New, NEW!

RemARKably Creative Team Blog Tour

Welcome to the RemARKably Creative Blog Tour! If you followed the tour, you just came from… Wasn’t her project a stunner?!  This month, we are celebrating all the gorgeous new products available in the new Annual Catalog. It was a tough call to decide what to order first, but the Petal Garden suite on page 57 was my absolute favorite! It features the Graceful Garden stamp set with gorgeous roses and sweet sentiments, the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack that is full of gorgeous floral patterns and stunning colors! There is also the Petal Garden Memories & More Card Pack that matches the stamps and paper as well as 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon on the Petal Garden Suite colors of Fresh Fig, Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Whisper White.

For this project, I stamped the rose image in Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive and then watercolored it with Sweet Sugarplum ink.I then masked the rose and stamped that patterned stamp in soft sky and used Wink of Stella to give the rose a bit of shimmer.  I wanted the rose to match the patterned paper and the pattern to reflect the blue in the paper. The card base is Old Olive and I ran the Rich Rich Razzleberry cardstock through the Big Shot using the Garden Trellis Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry as well and die cut it using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and then cut a square to frame it in Old Olive. I used the Fresh Fig 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon and the new Mini Sequins in Silver. Voila, a card was born that I hope you like! A full product list is below.

Next on the Blog Tour is the amazingly talented …… If you get lost during the tour, you can always just click on the next name in the list below. You are at Jen Tribue’s blog.

We Love Our Hosts Blog Tour

Welcome to the We Love Our Host Blog Tour, where each stop highlights the hostess sets YOU can earn when you host a Stampin Up get together! It’s part of a month long celebration of Hosts/Hostesses by Stampin Up.

For my project, I chose the Hostess set Tranquil Tulips. It’s has lovely watercolor effect images, in my opinion. The sentiment is from the Climbing Orchid stamp set. This is a quick and simple card that is easy to make but allows you to really play with layers and colors.

RemARKably Creative Blog Tour: Anything NEW!

RemARKably Creative Team Blog Tour

Welcome to the May edition of RemARKably Creative Blog Tour – Anything NEW! I hope you are enjoying each stop along the blog tours that feature projects created with the newest products from Stampin’ Up’s 2017-2018 Annual Catalog that launches June 1. If you have been following along the blog hop, you might have come from Leonie Schroder‘s blog. Wasn’t her project AMAZING? Such talent is a challenge to follow!

Not to get too personal, but it’s been a crazy three weeks, hence the topic of this card. My husband’s car was totaled, my car had a hit and run, my dad’s cancer is back, and then yesterday I visited my sister in the hospital and took my daughter to the ER! Talk about a nutty month! So when I was trying to figure out what to make for this hop, I saw the sentiment and voila! A card was born.

This card is made with the Colorful Seasons bundle. If you want to get a bundle, this is it because it covers all the seasons, spring, summer, fall and winter. You will get a whole year’s worth of cards out of this bundle, I promise! I also used two of the newest Stampin’ Up colors, Fresh Fig and Berry Burst. The card base is Fresh Fig, then a layer of Early Expresso and then Watercolor paper. After painting the paper with an Aqua Painter and water, I squeezed the ink pads of Elegant Eggplant, Fresh Fig and Berry Burst so that ink was on the lid and then dipped my Aqua Painter in the ink and painted sections that I had dampened with each of the colors. Set that aside to dry and die cut the branch out of Early Expresso cardstock and the flowers out of Watercolor paper as well. Once your background is dry, stamp Just Breath in Versamark and heat emboss with Gold Embossing Powder. The flowers are colored at the center with Berry Burst and an Aqua Painter and then Basic Pearls are placed in the centers. Embellish with some Gold Metallic Thread and put the card together! A detailed list is below and f you would like to make this card yourself, please email me and I’ll help you as I would love to be your Demonstrator!

The next stop on the blog hop is Annette Sullivan  but if you get lost along the way, here is the complete list of all the talented Demonstrators that are participating:

Thinking Of You Retiring Hostess Set – Iconic Occasions

Stampin’ Up is all about fellowship and sharing. Indeed, their motto or Statement the Heart is ” To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments . . . in this we make a difference!” To that end, they offer many ways to share the love of stamping and creating, either through clubs, classes or Stampin’ Up demonstration night parties. Stampin Up loves to reward a hostess who invites her friends over for a night of Stampin’ Up fun, or for hosting an online event by offering certain hostess sets that can only be earned, not purchased. As such, they are pretty special stamp sets. This card features a hostess set from the 2017 Occasions Catalog that will retire on May 31. It’s called Iconic Occasions and here is a photo of the set:

This card is simple yet elegant. Often times, we can get so caught up in making sure we have lots of layers or embellishments and forget that as in fashion, so with cards and less sometimes can be more. Another thing that struck me about this project is the usage of the same sentiment three times. Who says just because you stamped an image once, you are done? Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box and you just might surprise yourself while stretching your supplies even further than ever! If you are interested in learning how to qualify to get this set for FREE, please email me at jen@stampastical.com. After May 31, this set is gone forever so don’t wait!

The Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop: Sneak Peek

Welcome to the Blog Hop for May 2017 and Happy Mother’s Day! This month our theme is Sneak Peek. You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Stamptastical.com or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Jen Tribue – Stamptastical.com. My post features a modge podge of several new stamp sets, colors, punches, ribbon, paper and die cuts.

So obviously the theme of this blog hop is Sneak Peek and sharing a small selection of the amazing products that are featured in the upcoming Annual Catalog. This project actually uses two bundles, Lovely Friends and Wood Words. The Lovely Friends bundle has a die set that features a gorgeous laurel die set that raises as you open the card and a matching banner. Here is the inside:

Check back later this week for a video that shows how to put together this card so that the laurel pops up. The sentiment and the lovely laurel inside and the flowers are from Lovely Friends. The wooden crate is from the Wood Words bundle which is too cute for words! That bundle not only includes dies that allow you to cut out and score an adorable crate shaped box, but it also features images and text you can use for labels, for decor, etc. For this project, I just used the crate die cut from that particular bundle.

The Lemon Lime Twist background to the label on the treat holder is our newest punch, the Lovely Label Punch. This project also highlights three of the five newest In Colors – Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst.  All of these products will be available to order on June 1, so be sure you jot down what you like as you travel through the blog hop and make your wish list! At the end of the blog post, you will find a list of products used.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me and be sure to request a catalog and I’ll drop one in the mail. I would love to be your Demonstrator!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently, you are at my blog –Jen Tribue, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

2017-2018 Catalog Sneak Peek: Lovely Friends Bundle

Shhh! This is a sneak peek of one of the bundles in the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog going live on June 1! I just got my catalog in the mail and as a Demonstrator, I can preorder certain products before they are available to our beloved customers. That’s one of the many, many perks of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. Anyhoo, this bundle I just fell in love with and HAD to have. It’s called Lovely Friends and it features really beautiful large sentiments that fill up that card front with color and sweet sayings as well as some floral images and pretty labels. But wait, because it gets better when you bundle it with the Lovely Laurel Thinlit dies and voila! Perfect coordination and gorgeous cards.

What is super neat is that the laurel that you die cut from the Lovely Laurel Thinlits actually pops up when the card is opened and the die set features a banner shape that is scored and perfectly created to fit the laurel wreath and still pop up when it’s opened. I plan on doing a video about it in the upcoming week. I hope you like this card even though it’s a bit simpler than what I usually do. I was so busy trying to create the pop-up part and understanding how it all fits together that I didn’t bling it up as much as I usually do. The floral images were stamped and cut out from this bundle as well. It just has it all! This bundle is available to order starting June 1 but if you can’t wait, sign up to be a demonstrator and get this bundle, and up to $125 worth of product for only $99! If you would like more information, click here to email me.
