Happy St. Patrick’s Day – Quick and Easy Celebration Card!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Stamptastical Friends! I hope you have your green on, it could be “pinchy” out there today. I have to admit, green isn’t something I have a lot of in my wardrobe. I have exactly one green shirt and one green necklace and I wear them each year on St. Pat’s. So guess what I have on as I type this? You guessed it! Still, St. Patrick’s Day is a fun holiday full of history and celebration and who doesn’t love that?

Speaking of celebration, I whipped up this card last night to give to a friend for St. Patrick’s Day. This card is super quick and easy to create and what I love about it is that it highlights that just how you can use Stampin’ Up products for many different purposes. For instance, the shamrock in this card was made with the Sweetheart (Item # 133786) punch. Typically you might buy this punch only for Valentine’s Day, weddings, etc. However, with a little creative thinking, some Pinterest maybe, you can find a whole new world of possibilities for using your Stampin’ Up stash that really adds extra value to your purchase. If you have questions about any product you have ordered and you want to find new ways to use it and get the most out of your purchase, please contact me and I’ll be happy to help!  The shamrock is made from the Glimmer Paper Assortment pack that you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration when you place a $50 order but only until March 31. The paper is GORGEOUS, it contains 6×6″ sheets of glitter paper in Mint Macaroon, Bermuda Bay, and Sweet Sugarplum. They are only available while supplies last and they are super popular, so you need to get your order in ASAP. Click here to order safely online 24/7.

I stamped the border from the Floral Phrases stamp set in Wild Wasabi and the Celebrate is from the Birthday Blast stamp set. Here is the color palette:

I hope you have a happy and safe St. Patrick’s day and I wish you all the luck in the world!

You’re EGGstra Special!

Hellooooo Stamptastical Friends! How are we all settling into the time change? I don’t mind setting the clocks back in the fall because I gain an hour of sleep, but the spring is brutal! I go to bed an hour late and wake up an hour too early, or so my body says. Anyhoo, I wanted to share this card as it’s one we will be making at our Stamptastical March – Easter Greetings card class this Saturday. It uses the Basket Builder bundle (buy the Basket Bunch stamp set AND the Basket Builder dies together and save 10% off) as well as the Oh So Succulent Designer Series paper, all of which is in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. Now, I should warn you that IF you want to make this card, or you just love the sparkly Easter eggs as much as I do, you have to order now because supplies are going to be running out on the 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack and it won’t be available after March 31. That’s when Sale-A-Bration ends and you will no longer be able to choose free products with a qualifying order. You can find out more about Sale-A-Bration here

The color palette used for this card is as follows:

If you are interested in attending this Saturday’s class, you can sign up right on this blog when you click Classes and Events and select Register. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing some exciting Stampin’ Up! updates about Paper Pumpkin and a new technique, so I hope you will stop by. Wednesday I will have a project video for you as well.

You might have noticed that the basket is a little shimmery as well. I used Wink of Stella to give it a shimmer. Love that stuff!

Remarkable Blog Hop – Spring or Easter

Welcome to the Remarkable Blog Hop – Can’t Live Withouts!  If you have just come from Libby’s blog, wasn’t her project amazing??? Tough act to follow, to be sure! One of the Easter stamp sets in the 2017 Occasions catalog that I fell in love with was Easter Message and that is the stamp set I  used for this project, along with paper from the So In Love bundle. I stamped the greeting and the cross im age in Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I was trying to combine regency (gold, pearls) with simplicity (ribbon, clean design). The cross is actually on vellum paper, in case you can’t tell and the floral patter is the designer series paper showing through. Inside I stamped the sentiment that is in the same stamp set:

Next on the Remarkable Blog Hop is Naurelle Fasulo and be prepared for a treat because her work is stunning! In case you got lost or there is a glitch somewhere, here is a list of all the “stops” on this blog hop:

Candy Cane Suite Seasons Card

suite-seasons-card

This is a super quick and easy Christmas card to make! Simple punch out several circles using a 1″ Circle Punch and Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper. Adhere to a Crumb Cake card front and stamp the sentiment from Suite Seasons in Real Red Ink. Cut out the Ginger Bread man from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series paper and attach to the card front along with  some Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine and voila! A delightful card that is easy to produce but will be remembered fondly. Here are the supplies for the card:

Detailed Santa Glitter Card

detailedsantaglittercard

This is another bundle from the Holiday Catalog that I fell in love with. It’s on sale right now, so if you love it as well, now is the best time to get it! Click here to check out the sale prices. I die cut Santa in Silver Glimmer Cardstock and backed it with Red Glimmer Cardstock. The card base is in Real Red Cardstock and then I used a small piece of the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper to add the stripes at the bottom and ran a section of the Real Red 3/4″ ribbon across. I stamped “HO HO HO” in Real Red ink on Whisper White Cardstock and punched it with the 2″ Circle Punch. I used the Stitched Shapes dies to cut a Real Red circle and I mounted the stamped sentiment onto the circle with foam dots and stuck it on the ribbon. And a glitter Santa was born! Jolly Father Christmas Card

jolly-santa

This is the fifth and final card we will be making tomorrow. It uses one of my FAVORITE holiday stamps, the Father Christmas stamp set. Anything that is old fashioned or Victorian looking gets my immediate vote! I tried to combine old fashioned with modern (Washi tape). I did use Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils to color in Santa. They aren’t in the current catalog but WILL be available to order starting in January. They are AMAZING. Color in an image, then use an Aqua Painter and brush water over what you’ve colored and voila, instant watercolor image. So clever! I hope to see you tomorrow at class! I can probably squeeze you in, I had a last minute cancellation, so email me if you’d like to come.  Also, don’t miss out on the Super Holiday Savings at Stampin’ Up! They are clearing out their shelves as they prepare for a new catalog in January, so now is a great time to stock up on holiday card and project supplies. Click here to find out more. Christmas Angel Card

angel-card

This was the first holiday stamp set I ordered from the Holiday Catalog! I loved the angel image and the sentiments! What’s great about stamps like these is you can watercolor them (which is what is done on this card), color them in with pencils, markers, etc. Design  your coloring pages! I added a bit of bling with sequins. Apologies about the ribbon, it is NOT Stampin’ Up! but my order didn’t come with ribbon I had wanted to use so I had to improvise. I’ve listed the correct ribbon in the supply list below. This is the fourth project we will be making this Saturday in our December Card Class. Today is the last day to sign up, so email me ASAP if you want to attend!   The supplies used will be listed at the end of this post.

Reindeer Greetings!

cookie-cutter-christmas-reindeer

Here is the second of the five projects we will be making this Saturday in class. It’s a cute reindeer card using the Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle. The images on this set are so adorable, a little Santa, Reindeer, Gingerbread Man, or Eskimo and a very clever punch that works with all the images. You have stamps and the punch that can create decorations to whatever you choose to make. Too much fun! Here are the supplies for the card:
