Check out the 2018 Occasions Catalog Items Available Starting January 3!

Today I have a sneak peek of some of the amazing items available in the 2018 Occasions Catalog which will be available starting January 3, UNLESS you are a Demonstrator, in which case, you can order starting December 1. Yet another perk of being a Demonstrator, so if you like perks, then contact me today to sign up. Anyhoo, I cannot share the inside of the catalog until January 3, but I CAN share the items I ordered. This is by no means all the items available in the Occasions Catalog, just the first batch of what I couldn’t live without.

Also, mark your calendars because of the biggest event of the year, Sale-A-Bration starts January 3 as well. You can view some of the items you can get for FREE with a qualifying order!  Check back here for more details in the next week.

Mediterranean Moments Card

This a thank you card featuring the Mediterranean Moments stamp set in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. This stamp set didn’t immediately catch my eye, but after looking at it for a few moments and seeing the true beauty of the images and imagining the myriad of ways those images could be used, it had become a favorite. This card is super quick and easy to put together and has bling and watercoloring, two of my favorite things to use in a project, so for me, this card has it ALL! While we are all anxiously awaiting the new catalog and wondering if we should even purchase a stamp set for fear it won’t be available again, I can tell you that the Mediterranean Moments stamp set is NOT retiring. Woohoo! That means at least another year of enjoying the beautiful images! Check out what is included below:

Aren’t these just perfect to color in using Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens or an Aqua Painter and your favorite inks? You can almost imagine yourself there, sitting at a sidewalk cafe, or walking the streets of a Mediterranean town. I look at these and immediately think, “Vacation!”

I did want to let you know that while this stamp set is not on the Retiring List, many products are and while they are on sale, they are also selling out QUICKLY! If you have a favorite that you’ve been waiting to purchase on sale, don’t wait. We sold out of some items in less than 24 hours and those items will not re-ordered, meaning when they are sold out and gone, they are gone forever. I don’t want to pressure you but I also don’t want you to be surprised that a certain item was not longer available. That’s the tough part of a new catalog process. As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I was able to get a sneak peek at the brand new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog including the new ink and paper colors and I can tell you that it’s going to be worth it. They have some stamp sets in there that are so clever! And the die cuts, I cannot wait to use them, they are so on trend. All new paper and ribbon options and brand new colors to play with. The new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog will be available for order starting June 2 and you can view it online at that time as well. However, if you would like to have a hard copy mailed to you, please email me and let me know and I”ll drop one in the mail for you as soon as they are available! Stay tuned here as well because I will be sharing products and projects from the new catalog starting May 1 as we say goodbye to old favorites and look forward to making new ones!

Video: Cupcake & Carousel Pop and Twist Card

Watch Video Preview of Cupcake & Carousel Suite Pop and Twist Card

Pop and twist cards are all the rage in Stampin’ Up so I thought I’d give it a try  with the Cupcakes & Carousels Suite and  I was so excited about the result that I had to make a video and share!  This isn’t a “quick” card but it’s so worth the effort. The stamped images, the Designer Series Paper, the ribbon and the embellishments all come from the Cupcakes & Carousels Suite in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. I love, love, love this suite and there are so many ways you can use these products. As an added bonus, the Up & Away thinlets dies that typically go with the Lift Me Up bundle in the same catalog work perfectly to cut out the cupcaStamptastical Pop and Twist card inside viewkes from the Carousel Birthday stamp set. Isn’t that clever? And don’t forget, if you order $50 worth of product by March 31st, you qualify for a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog! Scroll down a bit to see a quick video of this card in action!

I have a video for you today that features the Lift Me Up bundle in the 2017 Occasions catalog. You get the Lift Me Up Stamp set with 16 stamps included as well as the Up & Away Thinlits Dies with 15 dies and you can save 10% when you order a bundle! SWAP: Balloon Adventures Pop Up Card

When the new Occasions Catalog came out, I decided to participate in swaps with other demonstrators so that I could get some great ideas and samples from across the world. Boy, did I EVER! Now, Demonstrator etiquette (as I understand it, and if I’m wrong, let me know and I will correct immediately) states that if I share a project from a  swap, I need to be honest about that and name who actually did the work and I like to link back to their blog or Stampin’ Up! site. So in keeping with that practice, I would like to share with you an amazing pop up card that I received from Jackie Walker in Florida. This is the front of the card at the beginning of the post.

And here is the inside that “pops”  up:

Isn’t that so clever? I love how she used two “birthday” suites together and they work together seamlessly. She used the Balloon Adventures stamp set, balloon punch, candle border punch and the Star Blast Edglits that “pop  up” when you open the card. Fantastic work Jackie! Here is a list of the products used in this card (as best I can tell):

Sending Love Fancy Fold Valentine

This is another amazing swap card I received recently from Kim Coulter that is what we call a “fancy fold” card. The top and the bottom of the front open up to show the sentiment inside. Isn’t that clever? The “heart” photo shows the inside of the card. I’m thinking of doing a fancy fold class this summer, so if you are interested, let me know! The products used to make this card are as follows:

Kim’s blog is Kimboskorner.com and she has some gorgeous projects on it so check it out!
