We Don’t Have to Say Goodbye to Cool Treats!

The 10% Off Bundle Price Ends May 31, But the Cool Treats Stamp Set and Frozen Treats Framelit Dies Available In New Catalog!

The Cool Treats bundle is another one that was a HUGE hit in the 2017 Occasions Catalog and when the retiring list came out, we worried that it would be on that list and not carry over into the new catalog available on June 1. I am pleased to report that the Cool Treats stamp set and the Frozen Treats Framelit Dies that make up the Cool Treats Bundle WILL be available in the new Annual Catalog BUT they won’t be sold as a bundle. What that means is that if you want to order these, you should do it before May 31 so you can save 10% off the bundle price. Click here for details about the Bundle.  Another reason to order now is that the Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper (featured on the bottom half of this card) will no longer be available after May 31 AND it’s on sale for only $7.50 right now! So you get 10% off on the bundle and the paper for 60% off. Sounds like a deal to me!

Other details about this card:

  • The circles are cut with the Layering Circles dies. The chocolate chip die was embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Embossing Folder.
  • I am in love with the Lace Doilies. I could seriously use them in every project! They add a nice accent to just about anything!
  • The ice cream cone is stamped in Watermelon Wonder on Whisper White cardstock. The Cool Treats stamp features a technique called two-step stamping that allows for depth and almost a 3D appearance. To create the look, ink up your stamp with the shape of the ice cream and then stamp the image once on a piece of scrap paper (hence the technique name, stamping off) and then without re-inking your stamp, go ahead and stamp the image as needed. Stamping off gives you a more variety in your ink because you can have a lighter hue or shade of color and create more depth in your images without needing tons of ink colors in complimentary hues. For even more contrast, stamp off twice for and get a much lighter shade and now you have three variations of the same color you can use in projects.
  • Next, you simply ink up the second image, in this case, the swirls of the cone, in the same ink color and stamp as normal. Cut out the cone with the Frozen Treats Framelits dies and embellish with some pearls as sprinkles.
  • The cone is stamped using Crumb Cake ink and cut with the FrozenTreats Framelits as well.
  • The Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper has a wide variety of patterns and colors but one of my favorites is the one featured int his project that is embossed and glossy. Such a nice finish and it adds gloss to this card!

Thinking Of You Retiring Hostess Set – Iconic Occasions

Stampin’ Up is all about fellowship and sharing. Indeed, their motto or Statement the Heart is ” To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments . . . in this we make a difference!” To that end, they offer many ways to share the love of stamping and creating, either through clubs, classes or Stampin’ Up demonstration night parties. Stampin Up loves to reward a hostess who invites her friends over for a night of Stampin’ Up fun, or for hosting an online event by offering certain hostess sets that can only be earned, not purchased. As such, they are pretty special stamp sets. This card features a hostess set from the 2017 Occasions Catalog that will retire on May 31. It’s called Iconic Occasions and here is a photo of the set:

This card is simple yet elegant. Often times, we can get so caught up in making sure we have lots of layers or embellishments and forget that as in fashion, so with cards and less sometimes can be more. Another thing that struck me about this project is the usage of the same sentiment three times. Who says just because you stamped an image once, you are done? Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box and you just might surprise yourself while stretching your supplies even further than ever! If you are interested in learning how to qualify to get this set for FREE, please email me at jen@stampastical.com. After May 31, this set is gone forever so don’t wait!

Remarkable Blog Hop – Spring or Easter

Welcome to the Remarkable Blog Hop – Can’t Live Withouts!  If you have just come from Libby’s blog, wasn’t her project amazing??? Tough act to follow, to be sure! One of the Easter stamp sets in the 2017 Occasions catalog that I fell in love with was Easter Message and that is the stamp set I  used for this project, along with paper from the So In Love bundle. I stamped the greeting and the cross im age in Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I was trying to combine regency (gold, pearls) with simplicity (ribbon, clean design). The cross is actually on vellum paper, in case you can’t tell and the floral patter is the designer series paper showing through. Inside I stamped the sentiment that is in the same stamp set:

Next on the Remarkable Blog Hop is Naurelle Fasulo and be prepared for a treat because her work is stunning! In case you got lost or there is a glitch somewhere, here is a list of all the “stops” on this blog hop:

NEW, NEW, NEW! Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop !

Welcome to the RemARKable Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop! If you started earlier in the hop, then you probably came from Narelle Faulo’s page. Wasn’t her project amazing?  Talk about a tough act to follow! This month’s blog hop features the new products in the 2017 Occasions catalog and they are GORGEOUS! The new Occasions Catalog has it all, whatever your creative style, it’s in this catalog. And if that wasn’t awesome enough, it’s Sale-A-Bration! That means when you order the products or bundles you love, you can also qualify for FREE items from the Sale-A-Bration catalog! You might have seen some of those free products in the projects in this blog hop. You never know. If you would like an Occasions Catalog, please email me your address and I will mail you one.

My project is definitely girly! I wish I could show you in person how sparkly the Dazzling Diamonds paper behind the floral die cut really is. I learned that the flash in my camera, bright light and glitter paper don’t always play well together. Anyhoo, this card could easily be a birthday card, a thank you card, or just a hello. It features the So Detailed Thinlets in the Occaisions catalog and the So In Love stamp set and embellishments. Also, great news! The Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies are back and that is what I used to make the circles. If you are looking into getting your first die cut set, I recommend Stitched Shapes because it will give you a variety of squares, circles and ovals for your projects. I embossed a piece of Pink Piroutte cardstock using the Softly Falling Embossing folder. The “flap” is Sweet Sugarplum cardstock die cut using the So Detailed thinlet. A complete list of products used to make this card is below.

Next stop on the RemARKable Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop is Stacey Lane at https://aworkofcarte.com. Just in case you are like me and get “lost,” at the bottom of this post is a complete list of the stops on this Blog Hop so you can just click and go where you need to go. In the meantime, have a Stamptastical day!

RemARKable Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop Stops:

Carousel Birthday

I feel like I say this about every stamp set in the brand spankin’ new 2017 Occasions Catalog, but THIS set is definitely one of my favorites. It actually is a whole suite of products, stamps, paper, and embellishments with matching cardstock and markers. You can’t go wrong or overcomplicate it with the Cupcakes and Carousels Suite. It’s carnival imagery with a vintage flair and I just love it! I used two types of embossing on this card, heat and dry. I heat embossed the carousel house in gold embossing powder, then watercolor in the saddle and blanket and I dried embossed the card front using an embossing folder and the Big Shot machine. The beauty of Stampin’ Up is that it’s sooo easy to color coordinate. They have colors for ink that have matching cardstock and patterned paper that matches and you pull it all together and it works beautifully! This is a swap card I made and I will be sharing some of the cards I received from the amazing and talented demonstrators that shared their projects with me along with  links to their blogs in the upcoming weeks. For now, the supplies are listed below and  have a Stamptastical Day!

The Biggest Stampin’ Up Day of the Year (So Far)! New Catalog and Free Stuff!

This is a HUGE day for Stampin’ Up! Not only does today mark the launch of the 2017 Occasions Catalog, but it’s the start of Sale-A-Bration as well!  I am super excited because as a Demonstrator, I was able to order products from the catalog early and get to play with them, and they are AMAZING! Some of so gorgeous and elegant, some are clever and funny, some are a ton of fun. There truly is something for everyone and every style in this catalog. Typically the Occasions Catalog offers products for projects for spring and summer holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day) as well as everyday occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduation, etc. You can order from the 2017 Occasions Catalog starting today through May 31.

Today is the beginning of Sale-A-Bration, which is like a late Christmas for Stampin’ Up lovers. Sale-A-Bration is a time where you can receive FREE Stampin’ Up! products when you place an order! Simply order $50 and get a free item. It’s that easy! There are many types of products to choose from in the Sale-A-Bration catalog, so if you want stamps, choose those. Want paper? Choose that. Ribbon? Go for it. Anything you want from the Sale-A-Bration catalog is yours to order for free when you purchase $50 worth of Stampin’ Up! products from the Occasions Catalog or the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog or purchase a Paper Pumpkin subscription. 2017 Occaisions Catalog Sneak Peak – The “Unboxing” Part 1!

So this my first self-made Stampin’ Up! video and I already see many things I’d like to change. Be that as it may, I wanted the share some of the gorgeous items from the upcoming Occasions Catalog that I received. We cannot post the Occasions catalog online yet, but we CAN share what Demonstrators are able to order early. This is by no means everything the new catalog, but it’s a first glimpse. I have more to share later this week. So here it is!

Just a reminder that many products from the Holiday catalog are on sale up to 60% off to make room for the Occasions catalog that you can order from starting January 4. Here’s is what is on sale, so now is the time to purchase before products run out.  Click here to check out what’s on sale.

Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek – Window Shopping Bundle

Here is another sneak peek at some of the new products in the Occasions Catalog that will be available to view online and order from starting January 4. This one is DEFINITELY on the top of my wish list. It’s a clever stamp set and matching die cut set, A.K.A. a “Bundle” called Windows Shopping. What is so clever is that you can make a hexagon shaped paper box for gifts or treats and die cut patters on the sides and top, or stamp Happy Birthday, etc. on the box. No more hunting for a tiny gift bag, you can make one in 10 minutes! And the box is GORGEOUS! You can order just the Window Shopping stamp set or the Window Box die cut. They work separately, but I like them even better together! Here is a video that details the bundle.

Speaking of Bundles, there are quite a few that are on sale for up to 60% off in the Holiday Catalog that will expire Jan. 3.  It’s a great time to stock up on  your holiday card making and gift making supplies. Here are some of the bundles that are on sale. Click here to order.  To view the Holiday Catalog, click here
